Purple Color Shift Wrap

Tinybot Space Candy Lavender Dreams Purple Wrap

This color change wrap featuring Tinybot’s Space Candy – Lavender Dreams completely transformed my 2003 Nissan 350Z drift car, giving it a high-impact finish while protecting the body through aggressive track use. Wrapping a drift car is ideal because vinyl acts as a sacrificial layer against tire debris, rubber marks, and minor contact, while also allowing quick color changes, easier panel replacement, and a fully reversible alternative to paint—perfect for cars that live sideways.

Before Vehicle Wrap

Before installation, the car required extensive prep work, as it arrived with very rough paint and a poorly installed blue wrap that first had to be completely removed. Old vinyl residue, adhesive buildup, and damaged paint—common issues on drift cars—meant the surface needed thorough decontamination, adhesive removal, sanding, and correction to create a proper foundation for the new wrap. We also installed a polyurethane front bumper, a must-have in drifting due to its flexibility and impact resistance compared to fiberglass. However, polyurethane bumpers present a unique challenge for wrapping—because of how the molds are made, release agents and residue remain embedded in the material, preventing vinyl from sticking properly. To overcome this, we performed specialized prep procedures, including aggressive cleaning, adhesion-promoter techniques, and controlled heat application to ensure the wrap could properly tack, conform, and hold up to the abuse of drifting.

We built this 2003 Nissan 350Z drift car for @itslifeofannie, a Houston-based car girl and automotive content creator known for building high-horsepower project cars, learning hands-on mechanical skills, and sharing the real process behind car builds across social media. Beyond this build, we maintain, service, and tend to her entire vehicle collection, ensuring every car—from track builds to show cars—is cared for, upgraded, and kept at peak performance.
