How Much Does
Color PPF Cost?
Color PPF starts from $5,000 at Spec'd Studios. The final number depends on your car's size, the finish you pick and how much of the car we cover. It costs more than a vinyl wrap because every panel gets protection-grade film, not styling vinyl.

What Color PPF Costs
Most owners do the full body, but you can also put color film on just the panels you want. Here's how the options compare.
| Option | Starts at | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Full-body color PPF | From $5,000 | A complete color change with protection on every painted panel |
| Accents & two-tone | Depends on the panels | Roof, hood, mirrors or trim in a contrasting color |
| High-impact panels | Depends on the panels | Bumper, hood and fenders in the strongest film |
| For context: vinyl color change | From $3,200 | Color only, in thinner styling film |
| For context: clear PPF, full front | From $1,300 | Invisible protection on the impact zones |
A coupe in gloss and a widebody SUV in satin are very different jobs, so the honest number comes from your car and your color. Get your color PPF quote →
What Drives the Price
Three things set your price. Here's each.
Vehicle size and shape
Bigger cars and complex bodywork, like widebody kits and deep vents, take more film and more hours.
Finish
Gloss, satin, matte, metallic and color-flip films don't all cost the same. We'll show you real samples in the shop.
Coverage
Full body is the signature job. Accents or a few high-impact panels cost less.

Is Color PPF Worth It?
It depends on how you use the car.
Worth it if...
The car gets driven, you want a new color, and you want the paint protected too. One film does both jobs, so you skip paying for a wrap and full-body clear PPF separately (from $3,200 plus from $4,500).
A wrap may be enough if...
The car is garaged, babied and rarely sees the highway. A vinyl wrap changes the color for less, and you can add clear PPF on the front later.

Color PPF Cost FAQ
How much does color PPF cost?+
Color PPF starts from $5,000 at Spec'd Studios. The final price depends on the size of your car, the finish and color you pick, and how much of the car we cover. Tell us the car and the color for an exact number.
Why does color PPF cost more than a wrap?+
Color PPF is protection-grade film, roughly twice as thick as styling vinyl, with a self-healing top coat that stops rock chips. A vinyl wrap changes the color but offers little impact protection, so it costs less.
Is color PPF cheaper than a wrap plus clear PPF?+
Usually. A vinyl wrap starts from $3,200 and full-body clear PPF from $4,500, so doing both costs more than one layer of color PPF, which starts from $5,000 and does both jobs.
Can I do just part of the car?+
Yes. Roofs, hoods, mirrors and other panels can be done in color PPF for a two-tone look, or to put the strongest film on the panels that take the most highway abuse.
How long does color PPF last?+
It's built to protection-film standards, so with hand washing and basic care it's a multi-year finish that keeps healing light marks along the way. It also removes cleanly from healthy factory paint if you want to go back to stock.
