Does tint affect Autopilot or my Tesla's cameras?

Does tint affect Autopilot or my Tesla's cameras?

No. Tesla's cameras look through their own dedicated glass zones - the windshield camera cluster sits behind its own area near the mirror, and the pillar and body cameras have separate covers. Patterns are cut to leave every camera zone untouched, so Autopilot, Sentry Mode and dashcam footage look exactly the same after tint.

That's the short answer we give customers at our EaDo, Houston studio — here's the context if you're weighing it for your own car: pricing always depends on vehicle size and condition, so treat published numbers as honest starting points, not gotchas. The fastest way to a real number is the free quote form (same-day in most cases).
