Lamborghini Huracán: Windshield Protection Film

Exotic windshields are expensive, slow to source, and often need recalibration once replaced. That makes a clear layer of film over the glass an easy call.

This Huracán got Inozetek InoShield windshield protection film in our Houston shop. The film goes on wet, gets squeegeed out from the center, and is trimmed to the glass so it disappears once it has dried.

The Huracán after its InoShield windshield film. The look stays exactly the same; the glass now has a layer between it and the road.

The process

The film sheet, wet with slip solution, lifted over the car before laydown.

Laydown. The film floats on slip solution across the whole windshield so it can be lined up.

Squeegee work pushes the solution out from under the film.

Trimming the film along the edge of the glass.

The result

Final wipe-down in the bay.

Out in daylight. Correctly installed windshield film is optically clear.

Rear three-quarter in the sun.

In the shop, engine cover up top.

A small Spec'd Studios decal on the engine cover glass.
