The One Rule We Will Not Bend
We will not film a helmet that has been dropped, damaged, or is out of date.
Not for a good customer, not for a rush job, not for extra money. Here is why that is not us being difficult.
A wrap hides evidence
Film covers the shell, and the shell is the part that tells you whether the helmet is still safe.
Why it matters+
Impact damage on a helmet is frequently invisible from the outside even before anything covers it. Putting film over a shell removes the last chance anyone has of spotting a crack or a crush mark — including the next person to own it.
Helmets have an expiry
Most manufacturers give a service life of around five years from the date of manufacture.
Why it matters+
The liner and the energy-absorbing foam degrade whether or not the helmet has been used. Spending money decorating a helmet that is already past its date is a bad trade, and we will tell you that instead of taking the booking.
If it has been dropped, we stop
Even a drop onto a hard floor from seat height is enough for us to say no.
Why it matters+
You may well be fine. We are not qualified to certify that you are, and neither is anyone else without the manufacturer. The correct answer is a new helmet, not a decorated old one.
What We Do to Helmets
Film, cut and fitted around the shell's curves rather than stretched over them.
A helmet is the most three-dimensional thing we wrap. It is slow work and it is priced that way.
Matching the helmet to the bike
The same colour, the same graphic language, the same finish.
What it covers+
This is the most common reason a helmet comes in. A wrapped bike and a factory-white helmet look like two separate decisions.
Full custom designs
Fades, splits, replica-style layouts and original artwork.
What it covers+
Printed on cast film and laminated. A helmet is a small canvas with severe compound curves, which is exactly why a printed design has to be planned around the shell rather than laid over it.
Partial graphics and accents
A stripe, a side panel, a chin bar, a rear section.
What it covers+
Cheaper, faster and often the better answer on a helmet with a factory graphic that is already decent.
Race and track identity
Numbers, name panels, blood-type and sponsor sets.
What it covers+
Fitted as a planned set with correct placement, and removable at the end of a season without damaging the shell finish.
Matte and satin conversions
Taking a gloss helmet to matte or satin without paint.
What it covers+
Paint on a helmet is a genuine problem — solvents and shells do not mix. Film changes the finish without putting anything chemical near the shell.
Removable when you want it gone
Film lifts off and the original finish is underneath.
What it covers+
You are not committing the helmet permanently, which matters given that a helmet has a limited service life anyway.

We use film, never paint
Solvents and helmet shells are a genuinely bad combination.
What to know+
Paints and their thinners can attack the shell material and compromise it in ways you cannot see. Every helmet job here is film, and that is not a preference, it is the only version of this we will do.
Vents, seals and hardware come into it
Film cannot block a vent, foul the visor mechanism or sit under a seal.
What to know+
Those get worked around, which is part of why a helmet takes longer than a tank. If a design needs to run across a vent we will show you how it will actually have to break.
Deep gloss over a matte shell has limits
Film follows the surface it is on.
What to know+
A textured or heavily worn shell will read through the film. We will tell you honestly what your specific helmet will and will not look like before you commit.
From Photos to Finished Bike
Nothing gets a firm number off one photograph.
How much has to come off the bike is the single biggest driver of the price, and we can only see that properly in person.

We check the date stamp and inspect the shell before anything else happens.

Back together with everything moving as it should.

Helmet Wraps FAQ
Will you wrap a helmet that has been dropped?+
No. Not for any price. A wrap covers the shell, and the shell is where the evidence of impact damage lives — including damage that is already invisible.
If your helmet has been dropped, the right answer is a new helmet. We would rather lose the job.
How do I know if my helmet is too old?+
There is a date of manufacture stamped inside, usually under the liner or on the chin strap. Most manufacturers put the service life at around five years from that date.
Bring it in and we will find it with you.
Does a wrap affect helmet safety certification?+
We only apply film over a sound shell, and we do not sand, prep or chemically treat it. That said, any modification to a helmet is a modification — we are straightforward that we cannot re-certify anything, which is exactly why we refuse damaged or expired helmets.
Can you paint my helmet instead?+
No. We do not paint helmets and we would advise against anyone doing it. Solvents can attack shell materials in ways that are impossible to inspect for afterwards.
Can the wrap come off later?+
Yes. Film lifts off and the original finish is underneath, which is useful given that a helmet has a limited life anyway.
