The flat fence panels on a pontoon are the largest graphic surface in small-boat wrapping — and the easiest to transform.
Faded factory decals are what make most pontoons look old. Strip them, wrap the fence, and a tired boat reads as a new one.
Why Pontoons Wrap So Well
No other recreational hull gives you this much flat, vertical, visible surface.
It is the single best value-for-transformation job in marine wrapping, and the factory graphics that age worst are the ones easiest to replace.
The fence panels
The long flat aluminium sides are the biggest uninterrupted graphic surface on any small boat.

Nothing else in recreational boating gives you that much flat, vertical, highly visible area. It is the reason pontoons transform more dramatically than any other hull when wrapped.
Factory graphics age badly
Most pontoons are wearing tired, sun-bleached factory decals within a few seasons.

Manufacturers use printed decals that chalk and crack. Once those go, an otherwise sound boat looks a decade older than it is. Stripping them alone is often a visible improvement.
Full colour or panel graphics
Wrap the whole fence, or run a design across a band of it.

Because the panels are flat and modular you can do a section at a time, which keeps cost down and makes future changes simple.
Aluminium wants preparation
Bare and painted aluminium behave differently from gelcoat under film.

It needs thorough cleaning and the right surface assessment before anything is applied. Oxidised or previously touched-up panels are the thing to check for.
Console and furniture accents
Helm console, gate panels and trim in matching or contrast film.

Small areas that tie the whole boat together once the fence is done, and far cheaper than replacing the parts.
Trailer to match
A wrapped pontoon on a plain trailer looks half finished.

What to know+
The films, the tools and the install skill transfer directly — a compound curve is a compound curve. What we do not have is years of marine-specific history, and we will not pretend otherwise. If you want a shop with a decade of hulls behind it, that is fair. If you want a very good film shop applying the same standard to your boat, that is what this is.
Vinyl has a harder life on the water
Expect a shorter service life than the same film on a garaged car.
What to know+
Constant UV with no shade, plus salt, is the harshest thing you can do to vinyl. We spec cast films rated for it and give you a realistic expectation for how your boat is actually stored, rather than a brochure number.
Aluminium is not gelcoat
Pontoon fence panels need different preparation from a fibreglass hull.
What to know+
Bare, anodised, painted and previously touched-up aluminium all behave differently under adhesive. Heavy oxidation has to be dealt with before film goes on, and we check for it at the inspection rather than discovering it mid-install.

Pontoon Boat Wraps FAQ
Can you wrap a pontoon with the factory decals still on?+
No — they come off first. Old decals telegraph through new film and stop it bonding properly.
Removal is quoted separately because sun-baked decals come off in flakes rather than sheets. On a lot of pontoons the removal alone is a visible improvement.
Do you have to wrap the whole fence?+
No. The panels are flat and modular, so a band, a section or a single side is perfectly viable.
Plenty of owners do a partial design first and extend it later.
Will it stick to aluminium?+
Yes, with the right preparation. Aluminium is a good substrate for film — it is flat and stable.
What matters is the condition: oxidised, chalky or previously touched-up panels need work before anything goes on, and we assess that in person.
How long will it last on a boat kept in the water?+
Less than the same film on a garaged car, and how the boat is stored matters more than almost anything else. A pontoon under a covered slip or on a lift does far better than one on open water year-round.
We give you a realistic expectation for your storage situation rather than a brochure number.
Can you match our rental fleet across several boats?+
Yes, and that is a better job than doing them one at a time. One design, one spec, one material batch means the boats actually match.
Fleet work is quoted per programme rather than per boat.
