Window Tint in Pearland — Houston, TX

Window Tint for Pearland Drivers

Pearland runs on SH 288. The commute into Houston heads north in the morning and south in the evening, and the 288 toll lanes are there for anyone with a toll tag. A lot of what we see from Pearland, Shadow Creek Ranch included, is trucks and family SUVs.

Most of those spend the night in a suburban garage, so the heat that matters comes on the drive and in the lot at work. On a north-south commute, that sun comes through the side windows more than the windshield, and it favors one side of the car.

What Pearland does to your glass and cabin

The passenger side, both ways. Heading north in the morning, the low sun is on your right. Heading south in the evening, it's on your right again. Whoever rides up front with you gets that sun on every trip. The passenger window falls under the same 25% limit as the driver's, so ceramic film does the heat work that a darker shade can't.

Crawling through 288 work zones. Construction slowdowns mean more time sitting in the sun than the map promised. The A/C fights whatever comes through the glass, and a cabin full of infrared heat takes a while to cool. Our top ceramic film rejects up to about 88% of infrared.

Toll lanes and signal. Metalized film can interfere with toll tags, GPS and radio. Carbon and ceramic contain no metal, so the tag you use on the 288 toll lanes keeps reading the way it always has.

What it costs

A sedan starts at $300 in carbon, $400 in ceramic and $550 in nano ceramic. Trucks and SUVs have more glass, so they run higher. Put the year, make and model on the free quote form and we'll usually get back to you with an exact price the same day.

See the window tint page for how each film performs. The Houston tint cost guide lays out pricing, and ceramic tint vs regular tint covers why ceramic is worth it in this heat.

Getting here from Pearland

We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of downtown. From Pearland it's a straight run up 288, usually about 25 minutes outside rush hour. Most installs take a few hours, so a morning drop-off usually means an afternoon pickup. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote, and a reminder to keep the windows up for three to five days while the film cures.

Pearland FAQ

Carbon or ceramic for a family SUV?

Carbon is the value pick and still a big heat improvement on a tighter budget. Ceramic rejects more heat. Both hold their color instead of turning purple, and neither has metal in it. If the SUV makes the 288 commute every day, we'd lean ceramic.

Can I go darker on the passenger side, since that's where the sun is?

No. Texas treats both front side windows the same: no darker than 25% VLT, measured through the film and the glass together. The back side windows have no darkness limit. The full breakdown is on the Texas tint law page.

Can I get it done on a Saturday?

We're open Saturdays from 9 to 4. Ask for a Saturday slot when you send your quote request and we'll tell you what's open. Since most tint jobs take a few hours, a Saturday morning drop-off can work when there's room on the schedule.
