Window Tint for League City Drivers
League City sits on I-45 between Houston and Galveston, and the commute into town is a straight north-south run up the Gulf Freeway. A lot of what we see from League City is trucks, tow rigs and family SUVs.
Plenty of those live in a driveway or on a bigger lot instead of a garage. A vehicle that sits outside all day needs heat and UV protection more than one that's garaged, because the sun works on the cabin from morning to evening, parked or not.
What League City does to your glass and cabin
Parked outside all day. Dashboards crack and seats fade faster on a vehicle that lives in the sun. Quality film blocks up to 99% of UV, which slows that down. Ceramic also cuts the infrared heat that turns a closed-up cabin brutal by mid-afternoon.
Tow rigs and the mirror rule. Texas lets the rear glass go as dark as you like as long as the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides, and the back side windows have no limit at all. If your truck has mirrors on both sides, the back glass can go limo. The front doors still need 25% or more.
The passenger side on I-45. North in the morning, the sun is on your right. South in the evening, it's on your right again. Thirty-five minutes each way adds up for whoever rides there, and the front passenger window can't go darker than 25%. That's where ceramic's heat rejection pays off.
What it costs
Carbon film starts at $300 for a sedan, ceramic at $400, and nano ceramic at $550. Trucks and SUVs carry more glass and cost more. Send the vehicle through the free quote form and you'll usually have a real number the same day.
The window tint page covers the films and the install. The window tint cost guide shows what moves the price, and the Texas tint law page covers every window zone.

League City FAQ
The used truck I bought has dark front windows. Now what?
If the fronts meter darker than 25% through the film and glass together, they're ticketable, with a fine of up to $200. The usual fix is redoing just the two front windows and leaving the back alone. We'll meter your glass and tell you where it stands.
How long do I keep the windows up?
About three to five days. The adhesive is still curing, and rolling a window down too early can catch an edge and lift it. Some light haze during that time is normal.
How dark should I go if I tow at night?
Lighter than you might think. Very dark film makes your mirrors and the view out back harder to read after dark, and backing a trailer is where you'll notice it. Staying at 35% or lighter up front keeps the most visibility. Behind the driver it's your call, but limo glass and a dark boat ramp don't mix well.
