Window Tint in EaDo — Houston, TX

Window Tint for EaDo Drivers

EaDo is our neighborhood. The shop is at 5002 Navigation Blvd, and most of EaDo is a few minutes away. Some of it is close enough to walk. A lot of what we see from around here is enthusiast cars, JDM builds, project cars and plain daily drivers.

Very few of them get covered parking. EaDo cars live on the street or in surface lots, so a parked car takes the sun from sunup until it drops behind downtown. The cabin never gets a break, and that's most of the case for tint here.

What EaDo does to your glass and cabin

Street parking, all day. A car on the street bakes through every window, and the dash and seats take the UV. Quality film blocks up to 99% of UV, which slows cracking and fading. Ceramic cuts the infrared heat, so the cabin isn't an oven when you come back to it.

What's on the back seat. Darker glass behind the driver makes it harder for someone walking past to see what's inside. Texas has no darkness limit on the back side windows, and the rear glass can be any darkness if the car has outside mirrors on both sides. Tint won't make a car invisible, but it keeps the back seat from being a display case.

Builds that want dark glass. If you want the darkest front that's still legal, that's 25%, measured through the film and the factory glass together. We meter your glass and pick film that nets out just above 25%, so the front is as dark as the law allows and no darker.

What it costs

On a sedan, carbon starts at $300, ceramic at $400 and nano ceramic at $550. Bigger vehicles with more glass cost more. Send the car through the free quote form, or stop by, and we'll give you a real number, usually the same day.

The window tint page explains each film. The Houston tint cost guide has the pricing, and the Texas tint law page has the limit for every window.

Getting here from EaDo

You're already here. We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd, and most of the neighborhood is usually a few minutes away outside rush hour, or a short walk. Most tint jobs take a few hours, so you can drop the car off, walk home or to work, and come back for it later in the day. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote. Keep the windows up for three to five days after the install.

EaDo FAQ

Can I come look at shades before I decide?

Yes. Stop by during shop hours and hold real film samples against your own glass. Seeing 35% and 25% on your car in actual sunlight tells you more than any photo.

My old tint turned purple. Can you redo it?

Yes. Purple tint is cheap dyed film breaking down under UV. The old film has to come off before new film goes on, so mention it in your quote request and we'll account for it. Carbon and ceramic don't fade that way.

Carbon or ceramic for a car that lives on the street?

Ceramic, if the budget allows. It rejects more heat, and that matters on a car that sits in the sun all day. Carbon is still a solid value pick with a big heat improvement over dyed film. Neither one has metal in it, so neither interferes with your phone or GPS.
