Ceramic Coating for EaDo Drivers
EaDo is our own neighborhood, so we see what it does to a car up close. There's always a building going up somewhere nearby, and the dust from it settles on anything parked on the street. Covered parking is scarce here. Most cars sit on the street or in a surface lot, which means sun from morning to evening as well.
Our neighbors drive a lot of enthusiast cars: JDM builds, project cars and daily drivers that get more attention than most. People who care about their cars wash them often. A ceramic coating makes those washes quicker and gentler on the paint, and it protects the finish in between.
What EaDo does to your paint
Construction dust. Concrete and building dust is fine and slightly abrasive. It lays a gray film over the car, and wiping it off dry scratches the clear coat. On coated paint a hose takes most of it off before you touch the car with a mitt.
No shade. Street spots and open lots get full sun all day. UV breaks down unprotected clear coat, and the roof and hood go first. A coating puts a UV-resistant barrier over the clear coat, so the sun works on that instead.
Event nights. Game and concert nights pack the streets, and people squeeze past parked cars with bags and drinks. A coating won't stop a door ding or a scrape. It does make handprints and smudges wipe off without leaving marks in the finish.
What it costs
Ceramic coating starts at $800, and the graphene tier starts at $850. On enthusiast cars, correction is often where the real work is, because the coating locks in whatever the paint looks like on the day it goes on. If you want the paint taken to a higher standard first, that's priced into the quote. Send photos through the quote form and we'll usually have numbers for you the same day.
What ceramic coating costs breaks down the pricing, graphene vs ceramic compares the tiers, and paint correction explains the prep. The rest is on the ceramic coating page.
Getting here from EaDo
You're already in the neighborhood. We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd, usually just a few minutes away outside rush hour, which makes this the easiest drop-off we offer. Leave the car and grab a short ride home or to work. The paint gets cleaned, decontaminated and corrected before the coating goes on, so plan to leave it with us rather than wait. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote.
EaDo FAQ
Can I bring the car by so you can look at it?
You don't have to. Year, make, model and a few photos get an accurate quote, and everything is confirmed in person at drop-off. If you'd still like us to look at the paint first, call ahead and bring it over.
My car was just repainted. Can you coat it now?
Tell us when it was sprayed. Fresh paint needs time to cure before anything is sealed over it, and your painter can tell you how long their system needs. Once it's ready, a coating is a good way to keep new paint looking new.
Is graphene worth it on a car that lives on the street?
It can be. Graphene is our premium tier, with a 10H cured hardness and a rating of over 5 years. On a car that never gets covered parking, the extra durability is easier to justify. We'll lay out both options in your quote.
