Ceramic Coating in Downtown Houston — Houston, TX

Ceramic Coating for Downtown Houston Drivers

A downtown car spends its workday in one of two places: a garage deck or a surface lot. The garage keeps it out of the sun. The surface lots are where the trouble is, with pigeons overhead and trees dripping sap on whatever is parked underneath. Add the stop-and-go grime of downtown streets, and a car gets dirty faster than its owner expects.

The downtown cars that come to us are mostly commuter luxury cars, rideshare vehicles and company fleet. All three need to look presentable without a lot of time spent washing. That's the job a ceramic coating is good at. It doesn't make a car self-cleaning, but it makes dirt let go, so a quick wash does the work of a long one.

What Downtown Houston does to your paint

Pigeon droppings. Droppings are acidic, and on a hot roof they start to etch within hours. You can come out at the end of the day to a dull spot that no wash will fix. On a coated car the acid sits on the coating, which gives you time to wipe it off that evening.

Sap on surface lots. Trees around some lots drop sap as small sticky dots that harden in the heat. On bare paint they take solvent and patience. On a coating they lift with far less effort.

Stop-and-go grime. Brake dust, exhaust soot and road film build up faster in traffic than on an open highway, especially on the lower panels and the rear of the car. A coating keeps that layer from bonding, so it rinses off.

What it costs

Ceramic coating starts at $800, and the graphene tier starts at $850. What you pay depends on the size of the vehicle and how much correction the paint needs, and a car that has spent years in surface lots may need more. If you're pricing several fleet vehicles, send them in one request so we can quote them side by side. Photos through the quote form usually get a same-day reply.

Ceramic vs wax runs the long-term numbers, and is ceramic coating worth it covers who it suits and who can skip it. Every tier is on the ceramic coating page.

Getting here from Downtown Houston

We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of the central business district. From downtown it's usually about 5 minutes outside rush hour, via Navigation or Commerce. That makes drop-off simple: bring the car on your way in, take a rideshare to the office and collect it when it's done. The paint is prepped and corrected before the coating goes on, so it isn't a same-hour job. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote.

Downtown Houston FAQ

I drive rideshare. Will a coating hold up to the miles?

How the car is washed matters more than how far it's driven. Keep it on pH-neutral soap and out of the brush tunnels, and a coating holds up well on a high-mileage car. It also cuts the time you spend cleaning between shifts.

Can you coat a few company cars?

Yes. Send the list of vehicles and the dates that work, and we'll stagger them so they aren't all out at once. Being five minutes away makes swapping cars in and out easy.

I park in a garage all day. Do I need a coating?

The garage covers the workday. The coating covers everything else: the surface lot on the weekend, the drive in, the car wash and the evenings parked outside.
