Window Tint for Spring Drivers
From Spring, the drive into Houston is a straight run south on I-45, and plenty of people take the Hardy Toll Road instead. A lot of what we see from Spring is trucks and family haulers: big glass, a toll tag on the windshield and kids in the back. The trip into town runs more than half an hour each way, so the glass gets plenty of sun even on days the truck starts out in the garage.
Spring driveways are roomy, so a second vehicle may live outside while the garage holds the first. A truck parked in the open all afternoon turns into an oven. Tint slows how fast that happens and takes the edge off when you climb in.
What Spring does to your glass and cabin
The driveway truck. A pickup sitting in a Spring driveway through a July afternoon soaks up heat through every window. Ceramic film rejects far more infrared than dyed film at the same shade, so the cab starts cooler and the A/C has less to fight. Good film also blocks the UV that cracks dashboards and dries out seats on a truck that lives outside.
Toll road miles. The Hardy Toll Road runs on toll tags. Metalized film can interfere with toll tags, GPS and radio. Carbon and ceramic don't, because there's no metal in them.
Kids in the back. Texas has no darkness limit on the back side windows, and the rear glass can be any darkness when the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides. That's why the standard Texas look is dark behind the driver and legal up front. Behind darker glass the kids get privacy and less glare, and good film blocks up to 99% of UV.
What it costs
Carbon starts at $300 on a sedan. Ceramic starts at $400, and nano ceramic at $550. Trucks and family haulers carry more glass, so they come in above a sedan. The free quote form gets you an exact number, usually the same day.

We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of downtown. From Spring it's straight down I-45, usually about 35 minutes outside rush hour. Drop the truck off in the morning and it's usually ready that afternoon. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote.

Can you tint my truck the same day?
Usually. Most tint jobs take a few hours, depending on how many windows there are and how curved the glass is. We'll confirm the time when you book.
Is cheap dyed film good enough for a work truck?
It's the cheapest film out there, but it lets a lot of heat through and can fade to purple within a few years in this climate. Then you pay to strip it and do it again. Carbon, from $300 on a sedan, is where we'd start.
Is haze after the install normal?
Yes. Light haze or a few tiny water bubbles are part of curing, as the leftover moisture works its way out. It usually clears within a few days to a couple of weeks. Keep the windows up for three to five days so an edge doesn't lift.
