Window Tint in Bellaire — Houston, TX

Window Tint for Bellaire Drivers

A lot of what we see from Bellaire is family SUVs and luxury sedans, kept in two-car garages or on wide driveways under the street trees. The drive to us is a quick run by way of the West Loop.

A garage keeps the car cool overnight. The rest of the day it's errands and parking lots, and the people who ride in back sit closest to the sun. For a family car, that's where tint pays off first.

What Bellaire does to your glass and cabin

The back seat. If kids ride in back, they sit right against the rear side glass. Texas has no darkness limit on the back side windows, and the rear window can go any darkness when the car has outside mirrors on both sides. Quality film blocks up to 99% of UV, and ceramic keeps the back of the cabin noticeably cooler.

Sprinkler spots stay outside. Lawn sprinklers leave mineral spots on the outside of the glass. Tint goes on the inside surface, so the spots never touch the film. Clean the outside as usual, and use a soft microfiber and an ammonia-free cleaner on the inside. The car wash never touches the film either.

A sedan's back window. On a luxury sedan, the rear glass takes the most care. It's curved, so the film is heat-shrunk until it lies flat against the glass instead of wrinkling. Every panel is cut from your car's exact pattern, so no one trims film with a blade on your glass.

What it costs

For a sedan, carbon starts at $300, ceramic at $400 and nano ceramic at $550. A family SUV has more glass, so it prices higher. Send the year, make and model through the free quote form and we'll usually reply with a real number the same day.

The window tint page explains each film and the install. The Houston tint cost guide has pricing, and the Texas tint law page has every limit, window by window.

Bellaire FAQ

How dark can we go in the back of the SUV?

As dark as you like on the back side windows. The rear glass can match as long as the SUV has outside mirrors on both sides. The front doors are the limit: 25% or more, measured through the film and the factory glass together. That's the standard Texas look: dark in back, legal up front.

Will darker film keep the kids cooler?

Darker film cuts glare. Heat is a different job. A light ceramic film can keep the back seat cooler than a dark dyed one, because heat rejection comes from what the film is made of. If comfort is the goal, pick the film first and the shade second.

Is tint safe on the rear defroster?

Yes. Window film is made to go over defroster lines, and it doesn't affect how they heat. The care happens during the install: gentle squeegee work and no scraping across the lines. More in tint and rear defrosters.
