Window Tint for Galleria and Uptown Drivers
A lot of what we see from the Galleria and Uptown is luxury leases, exotics and executive cars. They spend the day in multi-level garages and valet lanes, and they spend the drive in heavy traffic on Post Oak, Westheimer and the 610 West Loop.
Sitting in that traffic is where the sun does its work. The car creeps along with the afternoon light coming through the side glass, and the A/C runs the whole way. The right film makes that crawl a lot more bearable.
What Uptown does to your glass and cabin
Stop-and-go in the sun. A slow crawl on the West Loop is a long time to sit under the Texas sun. Ceramic film rejects far more infrared heat than dyed film at the same legal shade, and nano ceramic is our top tier for heat rejection and clarity.
New cars and the net number. If you want the darkest legal front on a new lease, the number that counts is the film and the factory glass together. Factory glass usually passes 70 to 80% of the light by itself, so we meter your glass and pick film that nets out just above 25%. Put 35% film on 75% glass and it meters around 26%, which is why we quote the net number, not the box label.
No mirror finish up front. Texas caps reflectance on the front side windows at 25%, and on a windshield strip too. A mirrored look is off the table up front, which suits a quiet, factory-looking car anyway.
What it costs
Carbon starts at $300 on a sedan, ceramic at $400 and nano ceramic at $550. SUVs, exotics with curved glass and cars with a panoramic roof cost more. Send the car through the free quote form and we'll usually reply with an exact number the same day.
The window tint page explains each film. The window tint cost guide covers what moves the price, and the Texas tint law page has the reflectance and darkness limits for every window.
Getting here from the Galleria
We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of downtown. From the Galleria and Uptown it's a straight run on US-59, usually about 15 minutes outside rush hour. Most tint jobs take a few hours, so dropping the car off in the morning usually means having it back that afternoon. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote.
Galleria and Uptown FAQ
35% or 25% on a luxury sedan?
35% is the popular daily choice: clearly tinted, legal in Texas and easy to see out of at night. 25% is the darkest the front doors can legally go. Behind the driver there's no darkness limit on the side windows, so plenty of people run the back darker than the front.
Can you do several company cars?
Yes. List each car's year, make and model in one quote request and we'll price them. If the cars need to match, we'll use the same film and shade across all of them.
How do I keep the film looking new?
Clean the inside with a soft microfiber and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Skip abrasive pads, and keep razor blades and stickers away from the edges. For the first three to five days, leave the windows up while the film cures.
