Paint Correction
in Houston
Houston sun, hard water and years of fast washes put swirls in everything. Paint correction removes them — permanently, by machine, panel by panel — at our EaDo studio. Quoted per car by condition, because that's the only honest way to price it.
What Correction Actually Fixes
Swirl marks
The spiderwebbing that lights up in sun — from brushes, dirty mitts and quick washes.
Light scratches
Clear-coat scratches that haven't reached color — leveled out, not filled in.
Water etching
Mineral spots baked in by Houston hard water and sun — polished flat.
Oxidation & haze
Sun-dulled, chalky finish cut back to clarity and depth.
Glazes and spray waxes hide defects until the next wash. Correction removes them — the clear coat is actually leveled. That's why it's priced by condition, not off a menu.
Why Houston Is Hard on Paint
Relentless UV
Clear coat oxidizes and dulls under our sun faster than almost anywhere — dark cars show it worst.
Hard water
Sprinklers and quick rinses leave mineral deposits that etch in the heat.
Wash damage
Brushed tunnels and dusty mitts are where most swirls actually come from — years of them add up.
Corrected paint deserves protection — a ceramic coating → locks the finish in for years, and PPF → guards the chip zones.
Correction Levels
"Stages" are just polishing passes. More defects need more passes — you pay for the work your paint actually needs.
| Level | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Single-stage enhancement | One polishing pass — gloss up, light swirls gone | Dailies and well-kept paint |
| Two-stage correction | Cut then polish — most swirls & light scratches removed | Typical Houston daily with wash marring |
| Multi-stage / show | Heavy compounding to refinement | Neglected paint or show-level finish goals |
We'll tell you which level your paint actually needs — and when the cheaper option is genuinely enough. Photos in good light get you a straight quote, usually same day. Get your assessment →
Houston Paint Correction FAQ
What does correction actually do?+
Machine-polishes the clear coat to permanently remove swirls, light scratches, etching and oxidation — leveling defects rather than hiding them. The result is depth most showroom cars can't match.
How much does it cost in Houston?+
Quoted per car — a lightly swirled garage car and a sun-baked daily are different jobs. Condition, size and finish goals set the price. Photos or a visit gets a straight quote, usually same day.
Why is Houston so hard on paint?+
UV oxidizes clear coat, hard water etches it, and years of quick washes swirl it. It's also why corrected paint here deserves a coating or film on top.
How long does it take?+
Typically a day or more depending on condition and level — proper correction is measured, panel by panel. A two-hour "full correction" is cutting corners somewhere.
Coating after correction?+
Smartest pairing there is: correction restores the finish, the coating locks it in for years. Coating uncorrected paint seals swirls in; correcting without protecting invites them back.
Dailies or show cars?+
Both — quoted differently on purpose. Dailies usually want a single-stage that kills most of the visual noise for far less; show cars want multi-stage. We'll tell you honestly which you need.
