Vehicle Wraps in The Heights — Houston, TX

Vehicle Wraps for Houston Heights Drivers

The Heights mixes old and new in the same driveway. A lot of what we see from here is trucks and SUVs that do the daily work, plus restored classics that come out on weekends. The trucks are easy wrap candidates: satin black, a two-tone or a new color without a trip to a paint booth. The classics are a different conversation, because on an older car the paint under the film matters as much as the film.

Heights parking has its own rules. Historic lots mean narrow driveways and detached garages at the back, and the big oaks along the streets drop sap and acorns on anything under them. Streets with bike lanes make for close passes, and mirrors take the hits. A wrap here should be planned around tight clearances and a regular wash.

What the Heights does to your car

Oak sap and acorns. Sap falls in drops and hardens in the heat. On vinyl, get it early with warm soapy water or a wrap-safe remover and a soft cloth, never a blade. In acorn season, clear the debris off the hood and out of the cowl before washing so it isn't dragged across the film.

Narrow driveways. Backing a truck past a fence post or a detached garage door is how bumper corners and mirrors get scraped. Light scuffs stay in the film. A torn corner can be re-wrapped on that piece alone.

Shade is on your side. A detached garage, or a spot under the canopy, keeps UV off the roof and hood, the first panels to fade. The trade-off under trees is more sap and droppings, so a car parked there wants a wash every week or two.

What it costs

$3,200 is the starting point for a full color change. Partial and accent jobs start at $900, and on a truck that can mean a blacked-out hood and roof or a two-tone lower half. Bigger trucks use more film and take more hours, so they price above a sedan. Send us a few photos through the free quote form and we'll reply with real numbers, usually the same day.

The vehicle wraps page covers finishes, coverage and the install. What a car wrap costs explains the four things that set the number, wrap vs paint helps if you're considering a respray on an older truck, and our aftercare guide covers life after pickup.

Getting here from the Heights

It's a quick run in on I-10 toward downtown and then east to Navigation, usually about 12 minutes outside rush hour. Plan to drop the car off, since a wrap is several days of prep and install, not a wait in the lobby. If you're bringing a classic, bring its history too. We want to know about any past paintwork before we quote. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote.

Houston Heights FAQ

My truck has been repainted. Can you still wrap it?

Often, but tell us first. Film bonds best to healthy factory paint. An aftermarket repaint can have weaker adhesion, and it can lift when the wrap comes off later. We'll look at the panels and give you an honest read on the risk before you commit.

Is a wrap a good idea on a restored classic?

It depends on the paint. On sound original paint, it's a reversible way to try a new color. On a respray, we'd be more cautious for the reason above. If you love the paint the car already has, clear paint protection film may be the better fit.

How long will I be without the truck?

It depends on coverage. A partial wrap is a shorter job than a full color change, and a truck with lots of trim to remove takes longer than a simple body. You'll know the dates before you commit.
