Window Tint for Baytown Drivers
A lot of what we see from Baytown is work trucks and company vehicles, and many of them spend the day in an open plant lot or on a job site with nothing overhead. The rest of the time they sit in a driveway. Between the two, the sun gets at the glass for most of the day.
The drive to us is a straight run on I-10, the same road a lot of Baytown people take to work in Houston. On that commute the sun is behind you both ways, which puts the heat on the back half of the cabin.
What Baytown does to your glass and cabin
A full shift in an open lot. A truck that sits in the sun through a whole shift is an oven by the time you climb back in. Ceramic film rejects far more infrared heat than dyed film at the same shade, so the cab isn't nearly as hot when the shift ends. Our top ceramic film rejects up to about 88% of infrared.
The sun at your back on I-10. Heading west into Houston in the morning, the sun is behind you. Heading east in the evening, it's behind you again. That works in your favor: Texas lets the rear glass go any darkness when the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides, and the back side windows have no limit at all.
Radios and GPS in work trucks. Metalized film can interfere with GPS, radio and toll tags. Carbon and ceramic contain no metal, so if your truck relies on GPS or a radio, it works the same after tint as before.
What it costs
Pricing starts at $300 for carbon, $400 for ceramic and $550 for nano ceramic on a sedan. Crew-cab trucks and SUVs have more glass, so they cost more. Send the vehicle, or the list of vehicles, through the free quote form and we'll usually reply the same day.
The window tint page explains each film and how we install it. The window tint cost guide covers what moves the price, and the Texas tint law page lays out the limit for every window.
Getting here from Baytown
We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of downtown. From Baytown it's a straight run west on I-10, usually about 30 minutes outside rush hour. Most tint jobs take a few hours, so a truck dropped off in the morning is usually back in service that afternoon. You'll get a firm timeline with your quote.
Baytown FAQ
Can you tint several company trucks?
Yes. List the years, makes and models on the quote form and we'll price each one. For a bigger fleet, ask about on-site work. We travel for fleet projects when the job makes sense.
Does refinery grime hurt the film?
No. Fallout and grime land on the outside of the glass, and the film is on the inside surface. Wash the outside the way you always do. On the inside, use a soft microfiber and an ammonia-free cleaner, and keep razor blades and stickers away from the edges.
What does a tint ticket cost?
Illegal tint is a misdemeanor in Texas, with a fine of up to $200. The bigger cost is being made to strip the film and redo it. On a work truck, that's more time off the job, so getting the front doors to 25% or lighter the first time is cheaper.
