Commute grime. Stop-and-go on Bay Area Blvd and NASA Parkway, then the run up I-45, leaves a film of road grime and brake dust on the lower half of the car. On bare clear coat it bonds in the heat. On a coating it washes off.

Getting here from Clear Lake
We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of downtown. From Clear Lake it's north on I-45 most of the way, usually about 30 minutes outside rush hour. Most people leave the car with us, because the coating only goes on after the paint has been washed, decontaminated and corrected. A mid-morning drop-off avoids the worst of the I-45 traffic. Does salt air wear a coating down faster?
It asks more of the coating, so upkeep matters. Rinse the salt off regularly, wash with a pH-neutral soap and skip the brush tunnels. A coating that's looked after lasts far longer than one left under a crust of salt.
My car stays outside near the marina. Is it still worth it?
