Paint Protection Film for Montrose Drivers

Narrow streets. With cars parked on both sides and one lane between them, mirrors get clipped and door edges meet other doors. Both front packages include the mirrors, and door edges can be added. Street-parked cars also pick up scuffs on the rear bumper from people parking by feel.

For Montrose driving, partial front from $995 covers the full front bumper, part of the hood and fenders, the side mirrors and the headlights, which is where the few road chips land. Full front from $1,300 covers the full hood, full fenders, front bumper, side mirrors and headlights, and on a street-parked car the mirrors matter. We're at 5002 Navigation Blvd in EaDo, just east of downtown. From Montrose it's via Westheimer or Allen Parkway, usually about 10 minutes outside rush hour. PPF is a drop-off job. Can you put film on a restored classic?
It depends on the paint. If it's fresh, tell us when it was sprayed, because new paint needs time to cure before film goes on. Send photos and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Is film worth it if I never drive on the freeway?
For chips alone, maybe not. For droppings, sap and street-parking scuffs, film on the front and mirrors still earns its place. A coating is the other option, and is PPF worth it compares them.
How fast do I need to clean bird droppings off the film?
Same day if you can. Film buys you time that bare paint doesn't have, but droppings left to bake in the sun can still stain it.
